Reimbursement Specialist/Manager

A mid-size device company is expanding and this is a great opportunity to become the company’s highly visible Reimbursement Specialist in a field-based position. 

 

The company’s products currently have coverage but they are taking a proactive approach with the payors (primarily Medicare and Private).  My client’s products lead their field and provide a significant benefit to the patient while being less expensive for the payers.  Their recent product is a first in class product. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with providers to increase the adoption of their products and assist with coding issues
  • Troubleshoot insurance reimbursement denials
  • Develop relationships with Key Opinion Leaders to serve as an advocate for the product’s clinical and economic effectiveness to the payors

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years of medical device reimbursement experience with a demonstrated track record of success in working with providers on coding and reimbursement issues
  • Certified Professional Coder
  • Ability to deliver clinical and health economic data to support reimbursement position

 

The compensation package targeted for the right person includes a competitive base salary and bonus structure.  The health plan is above industry standard.
